Assessing & Efficiently Limiting Airborne Exposure Risk in Buildings
This presentation will include topics: particle resuspension, various aspects of ultraviolet germicidal irradiation applied in HVAC systems, and indoor air quality modeling. The presentation will survey research on aerosol air pollutants and their control conducted at Penn State.
William P. Bahnfleth is Professor of Architectural Engineering and Director of the Indoor Environment Center at the Pennsylvania State University. He holds a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a Registered Professional Engineer. He is a fellow of ASHRAE, ASME, and ISIAQ and served as President of ASHRAE in 2013-2014. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the International Centre for Indoor Environment and Energy at Technical University of Denmark.
